Moving Average Inc. develops mobile applications for the Android, iPhone®, and iPad® mobile devices. Moving Average does contract consulting work in the Austin area.
Keep Austin Dog Friendly is a free iPhone and iPad app for locating dog-friendly businesses in Austin Texas.
Our first App in the Android Market was the #BBC10 app, an app for following and responding to Beer Bloggers Conference Twitter chatter. The goal of this type of app is to make it easier to engage the online side of conferences. The app brings conference-related online content to you rather than you having to search for the content. You don't want to waste time fiddling with your phone when you're networking on the conference floor.
Prior to the #BBC10 app, we released BoS2010. This app uses our first generation technology for following twitter messages related to the Business of Software Conference.
Our third app on the Android Market was TSA Opt-Out Day. TSA Opt-Out day is a simple, humours game intended to support the Opt-Out day protest of November 24, 2010. You might call it protest software, or social awareness software. You can read more about the TSA Opt-Out Day Android App on Engineering Adventure.
Our coverage of craft beer focuses not on parties or drinking lots of beer, but on the culture, technology, and business of Craft Beer at Hop Safari. Don't forget to check out our book while you're there, Crafting Beer with (512) Brewing Company
Moving Average was founded by an independent-minded software developer who likes helping other independent-minded developers. We have a career guide book for Engineering Students called Conquer Your Engineering Internship.
Moving Average Inc. is a small Austin company founded by John M. P. Knox. John enjoys windsurfing, craft beer, photography, and software development.
